LIFE IS SHORT - GET PLAYLISTING NOW!
With winter almost over and spring with one foot out of the closet now is the perfect time to sort out some decent playlists on that new MP3 player of yours and set your soundtrack for 2008. It's not always easy to choose from the millions of tracks Wippit has available so we've just chosen a few here to get you on your way. Here in the Wippit office this week we've gone Bolan bonkers and been playing these great T-Rex compilations at very high volume; Total T Rex and A Whole Zinc of Finches. How's that for current?
The Alternative Brits
It?s that Brits time of year again and as usual the big guns come out and accept the awards while the cool bands pretend they?re not bothered. Here?s our Alternative Brits nomination favourites;
Best Use of Hair Product: Take That
Best Use of Mobile Phone Camera: Amy Winehouse
Best Non-Use of Hair Product: Mika
Band Least Likely to Sound Like Their Name: Klaxons
Still Mad: Bjork
Most Annoying: Kate Nash
Most Endearing: Kate Nash
Juno Soundtrack
We don't often feature soundtracks, but this one is just too good to pass by. From the current super-mega-global-'indie'-box-office-smash that is
Juno, this is an eclectic mix of the old, new, the classic and the downright obscure in folk, rock and everything inbetween. So take your pick, or if you just can't choose grab the full thing for just ?7.99.
Folking brilliant.
Atonement
West Ham fan and avid listener to Wippit's own
Stop! Hammer Time podcast, Keira Knightley stars in the film that's already won 'Best Film' at the BAFTAs, accolades at the Golden Globes, and looks set to sweep up at the Oscars too. Now
Atonement is on Wippit, and can be yours for £15.99 (or £13.99 if you're a Wippit subscriber). Even Ian McEwan loves it, so check it out.
School of Language

If you're a hip Wippit subscriber, you probably know
Field Music are, quite simply, brilliant. So we thought you might like to know that
School of Language is the name of frontman David Brewis's new solo project. Pushing the barriers further than his band, opening track (and first single)
Rockist kicks things off in a typical quirky fashion, with its sampled vowels and crunching drums. Check it out, and
let us know what you think.
