This week we're not featuring those two, but their latest protege's so that next time someone not as cool as you brings them up in conversation, you can drop in Sebastien Tellier or Soko and stump them. Lily Allen has a lot to answer for. Fortunately, this is one of her better ideas, courtesy of her myspace top friends. This is Soko.
'French pop' sometimes makes us run a mile, but these cute (English) lyrics wrapped around an infectious melody make I'll Kill Her our favourite song of 2008 (so far). There's a 5 track EP at the moment, but we're sure that's just the start for Soko. She's already been tipped in the NME and popbitch, but now she has the Wippit seal of approval - so what's stopping you?

The father of modern fantasy literature, J.R.R. Tolkien, knew how to write a story or two. Fortunately, the composers behind the soundtrack to the recent West End musical adaptation of The Lord Of The Rings are pretty good at writing a soundtrack too. We've got the original London cast recording which soundtracks what has been described as the world's most spectacular musical.

Produced by half of Daft Punk, Sebastien Tellier's latest album Sexuality oozes with sex appeal, and seamlessly making electronic blips and drum machines sound like an electronic Latin lover. In precedent setting move, Divine has been plucked from this album to represent France in Eurovision which could mean a steer towards cool musique finally overturning the durge we've become used to. We recommend you check out the brilliantly titled Sexual Sportwear before someone tells you about it secondhand. Sit down KanYe, you've had your turn.

This is not one, but a collection of 6 albums right here. Despite having LOADS of classical music on Wippit, we don't feature it that much (mainly because it scares us a little bit). However, the six themed collections here help break that down into manageable 'best of' collections, covering over 400 years of classical music that you're sure to recognise. There's Romantic, Uplifting, Chillout, the oddly-title but good, never the less Favourite, Movie and even Driving. Now, does anyone know what the tune from the latest Cornflakes advert is?
