A Warm Wippit Welcome to 2006
Phew! Without a doubt, 2005 was the most exciting year of the new century for great music so it's with a sense of breathless anticipation that we greet 2006. Waiting in the wings with new releases are old hands as diverse as Morrissey and Portishead, follow-ups from The Zutons and Kaiser Chiefs and the much-anticipated debut releases from Arctic Monkeys and Plan B. To set the pace for the rest of the year is the latest album from New York's The Strokes. As The Carpenters once sang, we've only just begun!

Motorhead

Motorhead - The Best Of:

“That’s the way I like it baby, I don’t want to live forever!” Motorhead once claimed that if they moved in next door, your lawn would die. Find out why as you crank up “Ace of Spades”, “Killed By Death” and “Orgasmatron” to the max.

Editors

Editors - Munich (Live):

The Birmingham quintet don their raincoats once more for another slice of intense introspection. Skittering guitars, a rumbling bass, rolling tubthumping adds up to an exhilarating experience.

The Strokes

The Strokes - First Impressions Of Earth:

The third album from the New York rockers is finally upon us, refining their trademark sound into the first essential purchase of 2006.
