It's Magne F, of course. The Norwegian superstar has created past perfect future tense; an album of incredible pop songs gorgeously brought to life with some of his indie friends. More Scandinavian alternative guitar work now from Jose Gonzalez, who was brought via the magnificent Sony Bravia TV ads last year. In Our Nature follows on from his critically acclaimed debut Veneer (which was the 58th best selling album of last year, apparently) and sees Gonzalez return with another cover - a mesmerising take on Massive Attack's Teardrop. Lovely.

When a band is described as a combination of acid house, blues, country and gospel music you're not quite sure what to expect. We were intrigued. It turns out that the closest comparison is probably the opening theme tune of the Sopranos... which is probably because that's Alabama 3's Woke Up This Morning. From the accents on their new album M.O.R. you might think they're a collective of cool American gangsters, but it turns out they're Welsh and met at an acid house party in Peckham. Nevertheless, tune in and funk out with A3 - just download Monday Don't Mean Anything to see what we mean.

It's so simple - surprising more people don't do it really, isn't it? From the funky soul of Window Shopping, to the Beatles-esque Tell Me Once Again You Love Me (and even Gary Crowley's amazing guest spot on Radio Wonderful), you should be hearing this now.
