Sometimes It Snows in April
Well, according to Prince it does. We don't mind though. As long as we can curl up on the sofa after downloading Atonement with secret a copy of Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad nearby to remind us of the good summer we just had, life is good no matter how many millimetres the snow drifts rise to outside.

Foals 
They're one of the buzziest bands this year, and their debut album Antidotes has finally been released to much acclaim. Those 5 crazy Oxfordshire kids don't disappoint with a indie-rock-powerpop-dancy-punk kind of affair. Led by the fantastically named Yannis Philippakis, Foals fever is sweeping the nation, so get downloading now (just £7.99 for Wippit subscribers).

The lyrics to opening track We're So Starving say a lot: Oh how it's been so long, We're so sorry we've been gone, We were busy writing songs for you. You don't have to worry 'cuz we're still the same band. But don't just dump this formerly exclamation-marked band second effort's into the "rubbish emo" pile - Pretty. Odd. is a diverse mixture of 60s pop (Abbey Road influences abound), 70s art rock, and even strains of bluegrass on Folking Around. Take PATD seriously - very seriously indeed.

Entering Eurovision is something most artists shy away from; I mean, who wants to lose to some of the other turkeys? So it was with shock, and pleasant surprise, that we learnt that the one and only Sebastien Tellier is France's entrant for this year's competition, with his magnificent single Divine. We also recommend you check out the brilliantly titled Sexual Sportwear before someone tells you about it secondhand. Amazing.
